Altum-PT Multi-spectral Camera MicaSense has released its latest product, Altum-PT multi-spectral camera, which integrates five-band multi-spectrum, high-resolution RGB camera and high-resolution thermal infrared, and is an optimized three-in-one solution for advanced remote sensing and agricultural research.The solution seamlessly integrates an ultra-high resolution, 12MP panchromatic imager, a 320 x 256 radiometric imager, and five discrete spectral bands to obtain synchronous output.One flight can obtain simultaneous data such as RGB color, crop vitality, heat map, high resolution panchromatic data.Higher resolution also means greater analytical power and more applications: finding problems in plant crowns, and even counting them in early growth stages, including early young forests.The Altum-PT also features a global shutter with no-distortion results on any platform, with the open API and standard data formats compatible with multiple processing platforms. Storage capacity increase: the new professional storage standard CF card, two data per second, data from the card uploaded to the computer faster, can be used for more efficient data management.
The spatial resolution is twice higher than the previous Altum: the Altum-PT has an ultra-high resolution panchromatic camera to improve the resolution of multispectral images with the "Pan-sharpening" algorithm, increasing the resolution to 1.2cm / 60 m flight altitude.
Thermal infrared sensor upgrade: The Altum-PT has a built-in 320 x 256 FLIR Boson® sensor, doubling the resolution of the old Altum- -17cm / 60 m flight altitude.

Altum-PT synchronously acquired multispectral, thermal infrared, and euchromatic data, output in super-high resolution form via pixel-aligned technology.Since these bands were acquired simultaneously, there is no need to perform data alignment in post-processing.

Identifying irrigation timing, frequency, and duration are key factors in productive agriculture, as it directly affects crop health.The Altum-PT thermal imaging data provide powerful insight into water management, help irrigation managers identify the right way of watering and identify leaks or blockages in irrigation systems through differences in crop canopy and soil temperatures.
Pests and nutritional deficiency testing:
With the high-resolution multispectral images of Altum-PT, users can better identify problems affecting the physiology of the plant canopy.Diseases, insects, and nutritional problems often cause physiological damage before symptoms appear in the RGB.These problems can be detected faster using different combinations of multispectral indices and Pan-sharpening data.
Plant phenotype:
Manual measurement of plant characteristics is very time-consuming.The Altum-PT captures more data in a shorter period of time, allowing researchers to more easily understand the responses of different properties to different growth conditions.

Current popular methods for fruit yield estimation such as artificial fruit count or time series analysis are both time-consuming and expensive.Altum-PT provides a combination of high-resolution RGB, multispectral, and thermal imaging for more accurate yield estimates using algorithm-based fruit count and temperature analysis.
Water stress prediction:
Crown temperature is an important indicator of plant stress.The Altum-PT thermography channel allows farmers to regularly assess plant physiological status and detect subtle changes in canopy temperature as a reference for water stress indicators.
Pressure problems and blockage detection in irrigation systems:
The thermal imaging channel of Altum-PT can help identify blockage and irrigation leaks due to vegetation and ground due to water cooling or lack of water cooling effects.Overirrigated areas will be significantly cooler than the rest of the field.Areas without irrigation will show higher temperatures than the rest of the field.
